Y school age programming is designed to help kids developmentally and academically.  Research shows that children who participate in afterschool programs are more successful in academics, are healthier, and more often maintain positive behaviors. Afterschool Programming at the Y is specially geared to achieve these results.

Our Curriculum
Our curriculum includes developmentally appropriate activities and learning experiences that foster the spirit of inclusion.  The Y’s curriculum framework offers comprehensive, age-appropriate engaging care.  

Programming focuses on these core content areas:

  • Character development 
  • Health and wellness 
  • Homework support literacy 
  • STEM: Science, Technology, Engineering, Math Service learning  
  • Social competence and conflict resolution
