We wear black to stand against injustice and racism. We wear black as a symbol of hope\, awareness\, and togetherness. We wear black to share our commitment to inclusion and equity for all. \n\nThe YMCA’s National African American Resource Network (AARN) cast a vision in 2018 with this initiative for all YMCA’s across the country. The AARN acknowledges the history of racism in the U.S. which permeates many systems. We acknowledge we must work in solidarity against all forms of social inequity. The Y’s commitment to serving all\, aligns with this important work.
