Child Watch
Our Child Watch program gives parents peace of mind while they focus on fitness. Designed for children ages 6 months to 12 years, the program provides a secure, supervised space where kids can play, explore, and learn in a fun environment. Our caring staff ensures every child feels welcome and safe, so you can enjoy your workout knowing your child is in good hands
Convenience for YMCA Family Members
This free program is available to all YMCA Southcoast Family and Single Parent Family Members. Children can stay for up to two hours per day while parents remain in the building. Parent/guardian must remain accessible during this time for any needs the child may have. Personal care tasks including diapering are the responsibility of the parent/guardian.
Child Watch operates on a first-come, first-served basis with a focus on safety and limited group sizes. It’s the perfect way to balance your wellness goals with your child’s care and development—all under one roof.

Engaging Activities and Social Growth
Child Watch isn’t just babysitting. It’s a place where children can thrive! With age-appropriate activities, toys, and games, kids can engage their imagination, stay active, and make new friends. These playful experiences help develop social and emotional skills while encouraging healthy, active habits from an early age.
Awesome Health Benefits
Child Watch allows parents and guardians to focus fully on their own health and fitness without distraction. Regular exercise can improve energy levels, reduce stress, and support overall well-being, making it easier to manage the demands of family life. Knowing your child is safe and engaged gives you the freedom to complete a workout, join a group class, or even enjoy a peaceful swim.
