Join us by supporting Hunger Action Month™— Feeding America’s annual nationwide campaign designed to inspire people to take action and raise awareness of hunger in the United States.
Two Ways to Take Action
We at the Full Plate Project (FPP) work each and every day to ensure we can support our neighbors in their time of need. As a volunteer-driven project, we count on every dollar to support our efforts to provide food to local families. Not only do we give our time, but we put our dollars to the test to truly make a difference. We asked our dedicated volunteers to each consider making a small donation, and it transcribed into something big – we raised nearly $7,000! Can we now challenge you as our community members to match or exceed this amount to enable us to continue doing this important work?
Thanks to the generosity of a $22,000 challenge grant from the Amelia Peabody Foundation, right now you can double the impact of your gift to Sharing the Harvest Community Farm. Your gift will enable us to distribute even more nutrient dense vegetables for the growing number of people struggling with food insecurity along the Southcoast of Massachusetts. Please consider making a gift to Sharing the Harvest Community Farm during Hunger Action month to help us meet the fundraising goals of the Amelia Peabody Challenge Grant and ensure that those in need receive a bountiful harvest from STH farm for years to come.

From exercise to education, from healthy bodies to hunger prevention, from preschool to preventive health, the Y doesn’t just strengthen our bodies. It strengthens our community. Our community faces new challenges that create a greater need than ever for the work we do every day. After 160 years of serving communities, the Y knows what we need to be our best selves. So, it gives us a place to play, to learn, to be healthy, to eat well, and give back. It gives parents child care, young adults job training and children a safe place to go. Everything the Y does is in service of making us better.

Ways To Give
To fulfill our commitment to the belief that everyone deserves the opportunity to reach their full potential, the Y provides Financial Assistance to families and individuals in need. Financial Assistance is supported by the Annual Support Campaign at YMCA Southcoast. This fund is made up of donations from individuals and businesses who believe in our mission to provide access to all. We are so grateful to these donors for keeping the Y accessible to everyone.
