Welcoming Week September 8-17
Welcoming Week celebrates the growing movement of communities that fully embrace newcomer immigrants and their contributions to the social fabric of our country. Ys across the country are planning in person and/or virtual events to help immigrant and U.S.-born neighbors connect and celebrate what unites us as a community.
Stop by your local YMCA Southcoast branch (Dartmouth YMCA, Fall River YMCA, Mattapoisett YMCA, New Bedford YMCA, Stoico/FIRSTFED YMCA, and Gleason FamilyYMCA) during Welcoming Week to learn more about all the Y has to offer and receive a FREE SEVEN-DAY TRIAL MEMBERSHIP! And if you become a member by September 30, we’ll waive your Joiner’s Fee.
Flyers are currently available in Arabic, Cambodian, English, Portuguese and Spanish.
Overview
When you join the Y, you’re coming together with men, women, and children from your community who are committed to youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility.
We know firsthand how difficult it can be to find balance in life. That’s why we’re here with you every day making sure that you, your family, and your community have the resources and support needed to learn, grow, and thrive.
With a focus on developing the potential of kids, improving health, and well-being – and giving back and supporting our neighbors – your membership will not just bring about meaningful change in yourself, but in your community, too.
The volunteers, staff, members, and donors of YMCA Southcoast are all united by a deep commitment to strengthening our communities.
