Building a Strong Foundation for Lifelong Learning
Early education at YMCA Southcoast is designed to spark a love of learning from the very beginning. Children are encouraged to explore, ask questions, and solve problems through hands-on activities that build confidence and independence. From practicing early math and literacy skills to developing fine motor abilities through creative play, each day helps prepare children for a smooth transition into kindergarten. Our supportive environment fosters curiosity, resilience, and a positive attitude toward school that can last a lifetime.
Benefits for Families and Our Community
Families who enroll their children in Child Care at least 5 days a week are eligible to receive a complimentary YMCA family membership, making the whole family’s well-being part of the experience. Financial assistance and state-subsidized options, including PACE vouchers, are available to support families who need help with fees. In addition, the Y hosts quarterly family events and encourages ongoing communication between staff and parents so families stay connected to their child's learning.
